Campaign Roundup - Day 16:

  • The BC NDP released a new campaign ad featuring party leader David Eby and his family. Eby said his family motivates him to fix healthcare, bring down the cost of homes, and help people get ahead.

  • John Rustad, leader of the BC Conservative Party, posted a video of an interaction with a local family. Rustad said his party is attracting former NDP supporters who want common sense change.

  • Rustad, in Kelowna, touted his plan for a second bridge crossing over Okanagan Lake. He noted the rapid growth of the region and the increasing traffic congestion.

  • Mike Harris, BC Conservative Party candidate for Langford - Highlands, met with supporters at a cafe to hear their concerns about health care, cost of living, and government overreach. He’s hosting another meet-and-greet in Langford on October 11th.

  • Bob Zimmer, the federal Conservative Party MP for Prince George - Peace River - Northern Rockies, endorsed the BC Conservatives. He made a video suggesting that the province cannot “afford the radical David Eby NDP Government any longer in BC.”

  • The British Columbia Construction Association has asked the major parties what their plans are surrounding various issues of importance to their members. So far, responses from the BC Greens and the BC NDP have been posted, with information from the BC Conservatives still due to come.
